Blue and his new friend

Are you isolated and worried about your pets? Ross Good Neighbours can help!

Our pet team, led by Charlotte Reynolds and her team of 10 volunteers, provides our free pet care service. The team can offer dog walking, as well as emergency pet care for cats and other animals should you become unable to look after your pets. They can also take pets to the vet or collect any medication. However, some local vets are already offering a delivery service so it is worth contacting your veterinary surgery first. If necessary, we can place animals in local kennels and catteries (but please note that there will be a fee for this service).

Blue is a dog that Charlotte’s team are currently helping by walking three times a week. Blue’s owner has recently undergone cancer treatment, and has therefore had to isolate and is unable to take him for a walk. The volunteers have had a lovely time walking Blue, who is full of energy and is a joy to be around. Pictured is the son of one of the volunteers enjoying an outing with Blue.

The pet service is up and running now, but we are keen, and have the capacity, to help more people in our community. So, if you know someone that could benefit from this service, then do please get in touch with Charlotte via our Helpline on 01763 802046 or email pets@rosscdt.org.uk. You’ll be sure of a friendly response and offer of help.
