DBS Checks

Ross-on-Wye Community Development Trust is a Disclosure & Barring Service provider and can process Enhanced DBS checks for other organisations.

We offer FREE DBS checks for volunteers of Herefordshire voluntary organisations who are full CDT members (membership fee £24 / year) or are Talk Community Hubs. We also offer employee checks for organisations who are based in Ross or surrounding areas @ £50 per application (a £38 fee is charged to us by DBS and we make a £12 service charge).

Note that checks must be requested by an organisation representative: we cannot accept applications made by individuals.

How it works

Read our Applicant Guidance before requesting a check for one of your volunteers or employees. If you are unsure what type of check is needed, we can advise: just email dbscheck@rosscdt.org.uk

Let the volunteer or member of staff know that you are requesting a check, then fill in the form at: http://bit.ly/RossCDT-DBS

Download the Application Pack and email it to the applicant. If you are holding a stock of Ross CDT DBS forms, pass one to your volunteer/employee (if not we will post them one). If the application is for an employee we will invoice your group for the fee.

Our team will contact the applicant to arrange a meeting for the form and documents to be checked.

After the check the form will be forwarded to the DBS. It can take up to 6 weeks for a Certificate to be issued. This will be sent directly to the applicant.
