The Big Picnic is here!

Finally – after well over a year of the pandemic – we are delighted that we can now meet outdoors safely and enjoy a community picnic at The Bandstand in Ross-on-Wye on Sunday 12 September from 11.30am to 1.30pm, so please put the date in your diary and join in the fun!

The picnic will be an opportunity for you to get together with friends, family and neighbours and it gives us a chance to say ‘Thank You!’ to all of our incredible volunteers. We are so very grateful to everyone who has joined our volunteer teams since the Ross-on-Wye Community Development Trust launched in October 2019. The Ross Good Neighbours scheme wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our volunteers and we are very aware that many have dedicated so much of their own time to helping others who have needed a lifeline since the pandemic took over. With or without covid, we really believe that Ross-on-Wye is a much stronger community as a result and we plan to continue the good work to make the town even more resilient than ever.

So pack a blanket, chair, brunch, lunch – whatever you fancy – and enjoy a sociable, community get-together in the company of friends. Please remember that everyone is welcome – so even if you’re coming on your own, there will be lots of opportunities to meet new people and make new friends.
