Santa has already been busy around Ross-on-Wye visiting the Ross Good Neighbours’ buddies as well as some of the residents they look after. He spent a day knocking on doors (socially distant of course) with a little surprise gift, to spread some Christmas cheer in the run up to the big day.
The 20-strong team of neighbourhood buddies has been working hard over the last few months building relationships with local residents, helping them with shopping and other tasks. Brian Marshall, from the Larruperz Community Centre, helped Santa to deliver nearly 30 goody bags to the buddies and residents which had a number of gifts specially selected by Sarah O’Neill who jointly runs the Ross Good Neighbours’ Shopping Team with Elspeth Keeling.
Ross-on-Wye Community Development Trust would like to thank all of its volunteers who have worked extremely hard this year to bring a smile to so many people in and around the town, building friendships and offering support to those who need it. We hope that 2021 is a little kinder to everyone and will bring us some hope that we can get through this pandemic safely.
If you, or someone you know, is isolating, needs assistance with shopping, medication deliveries or pet care, please call the Ross Good Neighbours’ Helpline on 01989 313002 or email us at help@rosscdt.org.uk.
