Condé-sur-Noireau in Normandy is similar in size, agriculture and industry to Ross-on-Wye. The beautiful ‘Suisse Normande’, a dramatic valley dominated by gorges and cliffs with a superb vista over the river Orne is a bit like Symonds Yat over the Wye. People of all ages are ‘twinned’ with a French household in friendships that grow year by year. One year we travel to France for a weekend and the next. the French come here. We eat, drink and enjoy finding out what makes us different AND how much we have in common. All sorts of people are brought together by this common interest, it’s lovely!

For our 45th anniversary, we will be visiting Condé for a weekend, staying in French homes. It’s going to be a wonderful visit.
