Herefordshire Shared Lives carers, Sue and Pete Hanne, were recently honoured at a special Windsor Castle reception hosted by the King and Queen in recognition of 34 years of helping adults with support needs to enjoy a good quality of life within family style arrangements, building confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging. Two individuals lived with them for a remarkable 25+ years!

We hope their story encourages others to consider becoming Shared Lives carers. Could this be you? Do you enjoy making a difference to people’s lives? Carers work from home, receive around £600 per week for an adult supported long-term (max three people), receive ongoing support from a Shared Lives co-ordinator. Find out more at:
