What’s involved?
- Working with the Project Officer and Helpline team to identify and visit new shopping customers, then matching them with a suitable volunteer.
- Welcoming new shopping volunteers, explaining to them how the system works and giving them a RossCDT cash card.
- Arranging cover when volunteers are away or unwell.
- Using the shopping WhatsApp group and email to keep in touch with the team and ensure that everyone feels supported.
- This role requires an Enhanced DBS with Barred List Check every three years.
Time commitment
- On average, an hour a week, but some weeks busy and others very quiet. Plus attendance at the monthly Ross Good Neighbours Steering Group.
