Hi everybody
This is a short message to dispel any confusion around the planning application for Corpus Christi Lane, the building that was once ‘County Fitness Gym’

@TheHub is the CIC (community interest company) that has leased the building. @TheHub will be hosting Warm Welcome between 10:00a.m. and 2 p.m. on Wednesdays once the building work is complete. We are currently using the facilities at the MotorSports Club, but unfortunately the lack of disabled access has limited our ability to support the whole community.

@TheHub is not going to be a homeless shelter or support centre. It was created to fill a gap for small support groups that couldn’t afford their own space.

Warm Welcome is not just something that occurs on Wednesdays, a lot of support work goes on behind the scenes during the week at all hours. This is solely undertaken by Milly. Warm Welcome is a non-judgmental space where the community can get together. It is not just for homeless people, it is for anyone from all walks of life. The purpose is to build a stronger community presence within Ross-on-Wye, facilitating people from all aspects of life whether they are elderly, ex-forces, young people, mums, dads…. everybody will be welcomed.

@TheHub will include changing and showering facilities for people with disabilities and the elderly. There will also be laundry facilities for anyone struggling to do washing.
@TheHub will be so much more than a place for homeless people to get a cup of tea, but we will of course continue to support the small number of street homeless people that are in Ross-on-Wye.
This is a support centre for anybody that wants to connect with their community! We hope that you will stand by us and our planning application.
