Pickleball is a fun sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis.

Regular sessions of Pickleball are held at RTC and run by Steve Barnett, Head Coach at RTC, and his team from Activate Sports.

“Pickleball is ideal for anyone who wants to start gentle exercise”, said Steve.  The sessions are listed under the Coaching Tab of this website and can be booked online.

Pickleball is a fun sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, over a net.

Pickleball is less strenuous on the body than tennis, but is ideal for developing fitness and having fun.

It couldn’t be easier to have a go at Pickleball and discover for yourself just how much fun it is!

No special equipment is required and any comfortable clothing is fine. Trainers or tennis shoes are recommended.
